General Counsel & Secretary Cyrus 'Skip' Marter
Skip Marter is General Counsel and Secretary for Civitas Resources, inc. Prior to this role, Mr. Marter was Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Bonanza Creek Energy. Mr. Marter has practiced law for over 30 years. He previously served as General Counsel at Forest Oil Corporation and as the head of the U.S. legal group for Encana. Until 2002, Mr. Marter was a partner at the Houston law firm of Susman Godfrey LLP. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University and a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
